New Business Associate

Summary: The New Business Associate supports all the activities related to processing new business submitted through the agency, including training, processing, and follow up. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Processing for National Life, LSW, and other NL partners to include:
    • Process and track APS requests
    • Track all new cases for the agency on the Pending New Business Report
    • Contract service issues
    • Policy changes
    • Order requirements
    • Underwriting communications
    • Follow up on delivery requirements
    • Pending/paid business tracking and reporting
    • Transfer follow up
    • Communicate with producers regarding client service issues
  • Keep agents up to date on their cases in underwriting
  • Facilitate communication between our Home Office and agents regarding their pending cases and servicing requests
  • Distribute and track conversion emails
  • Oversee office lobby
  • Any other duties as requested


  • In-Office position; must be able to commute to Southlake, TX Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Entry-Level Position
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with multiple levels of producers, Home Office employees, and management
  • Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and communication towards completing assignments efficiently and in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision
  • Able to prioritize, handle multiple assignments from multiple requestors; able to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Possess strong computer skills such as Excel and Microsoft office
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with other employees and field producers
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to study and pass the Texas Life, Health, and Accident licensing exam within first 90 days of employment
